Are You Willing To Be An Hosea?

Can you tear up your long list of justified hurts and wrongs? Can you unconditionally forgive that person who has hurt you over and over again? Can you lay aside all the things that other person has done and said and, for the hundredth time, choose to give to yourself totally over to God? Are you willing to open yourself up again and again, so God can reach that other person through you?

Remember there's no way in the world that you or I can love until we are supernatural and contrary to our normal human reactions and behavior. It's totally opposite to our own emotional way of loving. Only God can love like this through us. And it's only as we yield ourselves--all our negative thoughts, emotions and desires and desired that are contrary to God's--and become open vessels that God can love like this through us.

John 12:24 asserts, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a grain of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone; but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit."

The secret, and the truth that changes our lives is learning how to get rid of negative thoughts and emotions by giving them to God an becoming and open and cleansed vessel. Then God's Love can fill you to overflowing and His Wisdom and Power can lead and guide you in every way, His Way!

Hosea in the Old Testament is such a wonderful example of one who loved God. Hosea loved God so much that he chose to become an open vessel that God could use to reach his adulterous wife Gomer, and by that Love, reconcile her to himself.

I don't believe Hosea on his own power and ability could have loved Gomer the way he did. Yet, because of his faithfulness to love God first, yielding his will and life totally to Him, God enabled him to love Gomer unconditionally.

When allow God to love others through us, as did Hosea, it's God they see in us and not ourselves.

I John 3:16a States, "Hereby perceive we the Love of God because He laid down His Life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren."

Jesus is our example. He is the Creator of the universe and the most powerful Being in the world. Yet Jesus chose of His own free will to lay His Life down for us, so Agape Love could be poured forth through Him to us. He was the mediator, the channel and the vessel of God's Love to us. He died so God's Love could be released to us. His whole purpose and ministry in life was to willingly lay down His life so that we might receive the Father's Love.

Are you willing to lay down your life so that God's Love can be released through you to others?

"No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and His Love is perfected in us." 1 John 4:12.
